The Nurse Assistant program provides an opportunity for the student to obtain multiple clinical skills along with sound theory based in nursing science. Students will have the opportunity to engage in clinical experiences at an extended care facility to provide direct patient care at the bedside. Upon successful completion of the program, students may sit for the New York State Certification Exam.
All students must annually submit the Health Careers Academy physical form signed by their health care provider. Students must have a Social Security card to be eligible to take the New York State Nurse Assistant Exam.
