Orange-Ulster BOCES Department of Interscholastic Athletics Holds NCAA Forum for High School Athletic Directors, Guidance Counselors and Coaches

The Orange-Ulster BOCES Division of Interscholastic Athletics, under the direction of Mr. James Osborne, recently held a forum for high school athletic directors, coaches and guidance counselors to discuss NCAA rules and regulations and eligibility rules for student athletes entering college.
Patricia Kennedy, Athletic Director at Mercy College, and Ashlee Kelly and William Sullivan, Assistant Athletic Directors/Compliance conducted the workshop to explain the real issues and challenges for students in dealing with the NCAA Clearinghouse. The latest regulations and eligibility requirements for high school student-athletes entering college were discussed and questions were answered. All who attended the workshop were appreciative of the opportunity to learn first-hand how to navigate NCAA rules in order for their student-athletes to participate in intercollegiate athletics.
