Two CTE Aviation students recently were the recipients of $1000 scholarships at the 19th Annual Trowell-Harris Chapter Tuition Assistance Celebration sponsored by the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Bryson Nieves, a senior from Warwick Valley High School and Alexander Wolf, a senior at Valley Central High School, were honored on February 4, 2017, along with ten other deserving young men and women who will use the scholarship money to advance their future education.

Bryson Nieves is a student in the CTE Aviation program, and also a member of the Red Tail Youth Flying Program.  He plans on attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with the goal of becoming a Naval aviator.  He is appreciative of the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, and credits them with influencing his success so far in his early aviation career.

Alexander Wolf is a student in the CTE Aviation program and the Red Tail Youth Flying Program, and is also planning on attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with the goal of becoming an airline or corporate pilot. He is well on his way to obtaining his private pilot license.  Both young men have already soloed in their aviation training.

Helen Deeley, the students' Aviation instructor, is proud of her students' accomplishments and grateful for the Trowell-Harris Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen for its recognition of these outstanding young aviators.
