National GED Month | Celebrating Determination and New Beginnings

a student stands before the GED Pledge Wall

Orange-Ulster BOCES proudly celebrated National GED Month, a time dedicated to recognizing the resilience, determination, and achievements of adult learners who are committed to reaching their educational goals.

The occasion was marked with support from dedicated students, staff, and community partners, highlighting the importance of lifelong learning and second chances. Above all, Orange-Ulster BOCES celebrates the learners who continue to move forward, proving that it is never too late to earn a high school diploma.

The OUB High School Equivalency/GED preparation program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to pass the GED exam and succeed beyond the classroom. This year, the program welcomed a new group of students who took a meaningful step by signing a pledge to pursue their diploma. By making this commitment, these individuals have opened the door to greater opportunities, and Orange-Ulster BOCES is proud to support them throughout their journey.
