CTE connects and builds relationships with local businesses through our Advisory Board which meets throughout the course of the year. The Advisory Board is composed of local businesses, community members, parents and student representatives. This year the following students served as leaders for their CTE peers: Isabella Van Orden, Automotive Technology, Port Jervis School District, Leah Vetro, Principles of Health, Valley Central School District, Amelia Walsh, Emergency Medical Services, Goshen Central School District and Jessica Wells, Law Enforcement, Pine Bush Central School District.
Guests enjoyed student speeches from Madison Salisbury, Heavy Equipment, Warwick Valley Central School District, Bella Cavalli Farm, LLC, Salvador Serrano, Allied Health, Pine Bush Central School District, Crystal Run Healthcare, Garnet, Urgent Care, and Family Footcare and Pietro Siena, Law Enforcement, Minisink Valley Central School District, Atlas Security Services Inc. who spoke about their experiences in work-based learning and clinical placements. These placements are a critical component of our students’ post-school networking and long term success.
This year CTE has over 630 students placed in work-based learning and clinical placements throughout Orange County. We celebrate our partners in supporting our students in attaining their goals.
Nicole Petrakis from Here’s Help Staffing was recognized as our Advisory Board Member of the Year for her instrumental efforts this year and her continued support.
Scott Perry of Atlas Security Services Inc. was recognized as our Business of the Year for his incredible support in providing experiences for our Emergency Services Academy.
