About the CyberPatriot Challenge

CyberPatriot, created by the Air Force Association, is a competition designed to engage students in solving real-world cybersecurity problems. Participants act as IT professionals tasked with securing the systems of a hypothetical company, working on operating systems like Windows, Debian, Ubuntu, and more.

Through this experience, students gain practical skills that align closely with careers in cybersecurity and other STEM fields. This year’s competition included over 3,600 teams from across the U.S. and military schools abroad, making the achievements of the Orange-Ulster CTE students particularly commendable.

Preparing for Careers in Cybersecurity

The achievements in CyberPatriot reflect the high-quality training offered through the Orange-Ulster BOCES CTE Networking and Cybersecurity Program. By participating in these challenges, students gain hands-on experience, preparing them for success in a growing and vital industry.

For those interested in pursuing careers in IT or cybersecurity, the Orange-Ulster BOCES CTE program offers an excellent foundation to build future-ready skills.
