OUB Dental Students Shine at BOCES Expo

a large hall filled with expo attendees

Our talented students were among BOCES students from across the state who proudly showcased their skills, programs and accomplishments at the BOCES Fall Expo 2025, held Nov. 3 in the NYS Education Department rotunda at the State Education Building in Albany.

Seven outstanding student ambassadors proudly represented the OUB Dental Program. The ambassadors included:

  • Abigail Horan: Goshen High School

  • Yaileen Jimenez: Middletown High School

  • Emily Pericelli and Madison Santamaria: Minisink Valley High School

  • Jenna Alicea, Kimberly Romano, and Tierney Neavin: Warwick Valley High School

The students were joined by dental teacher Jeanette Lockowitz and dentist Dr. Littner, who supported the students throughout the event.

Education Commissioner Betty A. Rosa, members of the Board of Regents, and other state education officials joined representatives from BOCES programs to celebrate innovation in career and technical education. The Expo, held at the request of the Commissioner, highlighted how BOCES programs prepare students for college, careers, and beyond, while also offering attendees an inside look at the essential role BOCES plays in education and workforce development statewide.

After the event, our student ambassadors said the experience was inspiring and meaningful, and gave them the opportunity to demonstrate the advanced technology used in the OUB dental program. They returned to Goshen with a renewed sense of pride in their program and gratitude for the opportunity to represent OUB on such a significant stage.
