Congratulations to The Security Sentinels and The Bit Crushers!

We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of these talented students from Mr. McMann's Orange-Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Education (CTE ) Computer Networking and Cybersecurity class. In the recent CyberPatriot competition, the Security Sentinels earned an impressive second place in the Gold tier, while The Bit Crushers secured a commendable third place in the Silver tier.

CyberPatriot is a national youth cyber defense competition that challenges students to find and fix cybersecurity vulnerabilities in simulated environments. Participants gain hands-on experience and develop crucial skills in protecting computer networks from threats. The competition fosters teamwork, critical thinking, and technical proficiency, preparing students for careers in cybersecurity and IT.

The Security Sentinels, pictured above, featured a team of second-year Networking and Cybersecurity students: Conner Mahoney (Pine Bush), Damian Mann (Pine Bush), Glenden-Luke Stephens (Harmony Christian), Tanya Esquivel (Middletown), and Joel Racite (Chapel Field).

The Bit Crushers showcased the skills of Daniel D’Alessandro (Pine Bush), Shartazach Chipman (Middletown), Christian Escano (Harmony Christian), and Naaddir Pierre (Monroe-Woodbury).

Their dedication and hard work have brought pride to their schools and the Orange-Ulster BOCES community. Congratulations again on this remarkable achievement!
