Orange-Ulster BOCES Staff Member Honored by Mid-Hudson School Study Council

Patricia Millburn, Supervisor of Transportation for Orange-Ulster BOCES, was honored recently with an Award for Excellence for Support Staff at the Mid-Hudson School Study Council's annual Awards for Excellence ceremony.

Patricia has been an OU BOCES employee since 2007. In her role she oversees the cooperative service offered by BOCES that exists to serve the needs of component school districts and their students. One of her most valued traits is the guidance she gives to new transportation directors, often behind the scenes. She willingly shares her experiences and insight as she assists novice directors in maneuvering the myriad of requirements both at the state and local level.  Her work ethic and professionalism with the component districts are the epitome of what a BOCES is all about.  The school districts of Orange-Ulster BOCES, as well as the County of Orange and the New York State Education Department have truly benefited from Patty’s knowledge, experience and insight.
