Many families in Orange County are starting to receive Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) food benefits. P-EBT is a new program in response to COVID-19 school closures. It provides families $420 in food benefits for each child who receives free or reduced-price school lunch under the National School Lunch Program. The program will provide food benefits to approximately 2.1 million children across the state who would have received free or reduced-price school meals if not for the school closures.
