The Orange County Mock Trial Tournament kicked off Saturday, March 21 at OUB’s Emanuel Axelrod Auditorium, where talented high school teams argued a fictitious criminal case, The People vs. A. Carmen Erickson and Carson Blocker, before real Orange County judges.

Winners from today, the first day of the tournament, advance to the Quarterfinals and Semifinals on April 11. Congratulations to the trial teams representing the Goshen CSD, Valley Central School District, Chester Union Free School District, Florida Union Free School District, Monroe-Woodbury CSD, Newburgh Enlarged City School District, Washingtonville CSD and Highland Falls-Fort Montgomery CSD.

The top teams will ultimately face off in a Final Round on April 14.

The Orange County Mock Trial Tournament is hosted by the Orange County Bar Association and OUB. A special thank you to the Orange County legal community, and especially to Mock Trial coordinators the Honorable Craig Stephen Brown and Honorable Kimberly Van Haaster, for helping make this incredible experience possible for our budding barristers.
