Orange-Ulster BOCES (“OU BOCES,” “we,” “us,” “our”) wants everyone who visits our website, https://ouboces.org (the “Website”) to feel welcome.  We hope all Website visitors will find the experience rewarding. 

OU BOCES is committed to making the Website accessible for all people, including those with and without a disability.  We are continually working to improve the user experience for everyone. 

To help us make the Website a positive and inclusive place, we have been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.  Following these guidelines helps us make the web content on the Website more accessible for people with disabilities.  They also help us make the Website more user friendly in general.

There are three levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA).  We have chosen Level AA, WCAG’s recommended level of conformance for entire websites, as the target for the OU BOCES Website.

Many of the documents available on the Website are in HTML format, which is generally accessible to people who use screen readers.  We also have a large number of documents on the OU BOCES Website that are in PDF format.
