About the Program:

About the Program:
Throughout this program, students gain hands-on, practical experience teaching and running the on-site 3-year-old Little Dreamers Preschool program. Students will have a direct focus of study in infant, toddler, and preschool age children. Students should possess a sense of responsibility and desire to work with young children.
The Child Development Associate (CDA Credential is the most widely recognized credential in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and a key stepping stone on the path of career advancement in this field. Students in the Education Careers Academy will work on completing the CDA process over the two years in the program and have the option of taking the certifying exam at the end of their second year.
All students must annually submit the Education Careers Academy physical form signed by their health care provider, including appropriate immunizations, and be able to work with no restrictions prior to participating in clinical.
Within six months prior to working in the nursery, students must have a Tuberculosis skin test (PPD), Tetanus and MMR updates.

About the Program:
Students will learn about the many lifesaving skills and techniques such as CPR and treatment of traumatic injuries in preparation for a wide variety of careers in the emergency response and health care sectors. The one-year program provides a foundation in efficient and immediate care to critically ill and injured patients and transportation to the medical facility. Students who successfully complete this program are eligible to take the New York State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) examination.

About the Program:
Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the New York State Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations (BEFO) exam, followed by the SCBA/Interior Firefighting Operations (IFO) exam. Program follows the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control curriculum. Students who are successful with these exams are then qualified to take the National Firefighter 1 exam.

About the Program:
The Principles of Health Occupations program is taken during the student’s junior year. Students begin by studying the core competencies that are relevant to many health occupations. Having mastered the core competencies, students progress to an advanced level to develop competencies specific to selected occupational areas. The students will also be given an opportunity to explore various health care fields.
Integrated throughout the two years of instruction are theoretical concepts, skills and attitudes that help the student to become successful in gaining employment and/or continuing their education.
Students completing Principles of Health Occupations may choose to enter Allied Health Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Pharmacy Technician* or Emergency Medical Services, in their second year if they have met the following requirements:
- Received a 65% average in Principles of Health Occupations in order to be recommended to enter the Nurse Assistant program.

Mechatronics and Robotic Engineering is a two-year program where students will develop skills that are transferable to many different careers particularly in the field of engineering. About the Program:
The Hospitality and Workplace Learning Program is designed to provide secondary-aged students (16-21) with experiences to prepare them for the transition from the educational setting to an active and productive adult life. On-site job training, fundamentals of the foodservice industry and experiences with the life skills required as a part of daily living are incorporated into this program.
Transitional Program is designed for secondary students ages 16 to 21 with multiple disabilities and/or developmental delays to provide experiences that will best prepare them for the transition from school into the adult world. The program provides a supportive learning environment encompassing academics, social skills, pre-vocational and life skills.
This program is geared for developmentally disabled students and is designed to move students from school to the workforce upon graduation by immersing them in a work environment. It also helps prepare them for post-secondary education.
Students being considered for this program should be mature, responsible, trustworthy, and have a good working attitude. Students with severe behavioral impediments would most likely not be suitable for this program.

About the Program:
Students in the Auto Body/Restoration program are prepared for careers in the field through the use of the latest technologies and state of the art equipment. Throughout the program, students gain daily practical experience by working on vehicles. Selected students may be eligible for clinical and internship experiences at local repair facilities.
Successful completion of the two-year Auto Body/Restoration program can reduce the two years of experience required for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification by one year.

About the Program:
Students learn to repair foreign and domestic cars and light trucks using the latest techniques and computerized diagnostic equipment. Throughout the rigorous two-year National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) certified program, students gain daily practical experience working on vehicles provided by CTE and the students. Selected students may be eligible for clinical experience at local repair facilities. Eligible students may use successful course completion toward Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification. Many students continue their education at colleges and technical schools. Articulation Agreements with many of these colleges and technical schools give students advanced standing by awarding college credit for their CTE course work.
In addition to the program being NATEF certified, the automotive instructors are ASE certified in their areas of instruction.

About the Program:
This course will teach you the skills necessary to obtain your Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) Private Pilot Certificate, the first step in an exciting and rewarding career in aviation. The classroom portion of the program is conducted at the Orange-Ulster BOCES’ Career and Technical Education Center. The flight portion of the course is conducted at Take Flight Aviation LLC located at Orange County airport in Montgomery, NY. It is here where you will be taking one on one flight lessons in their state of the art aircraft. The flight portion teaches you how to safely operate the airplane during all phases of flight.

Certification Opportunity:
Upon successful completion of the program, the student is eligible to take the FAA Private Pilot’s exam to obtain their license. Additionally, students have the opportunity to obtain an FAA Commercial Drone Operators License after completion of the FAA UAS knowledge test. ($160)

About the Program:
The Digital Filmmaking and Post Production program provides students with opportunities to explore the exciting and expanding world of visual communication by being part of the production process in roles including writer, director, editor, grip and production assistant. Students are introduced to communications media, creating programs with equipment including Canon’s 5D and C100 cameras and Macs running Adobe Creative Suite.
Students work collaboratively, filling production positions on rotational basis. Writing, directing and editing are taught to each student. Students are given a solid foundation in employable basics including the naming and use of professional grip equipment. Writing skill is important, as is an ability to work well with others. Projects created by student crews include public service announcements, music videos, short documentary and narrative videos. Topics covered include written film analysis, use of professional production equipment and computer graphics in post production.
