District-Wide Safety Plan

Ensuring a safe learning environment requires leadership and coordination from school administrators, as well as active engagement from staff, students, families and community partners. Collaborative planning, drills, and joint exercises with emergency responders and other stakeholders foster a comprehensive and unified approach to emergency preparedness.

The purpose of the Safety Plan is to help school officials identify and respond to potential emergencies by clearly defining the responsibilities of school staff, students, families and community stakeholders. The development, maintenance, training, and exercising of the plan are essential to enable effective responses before, during, and after an incident.
