Basic Welding
The following items are required for Basic Welding and are not included in the tuition price. These items are needed starting with the first night of the course.
- Welding shield - auto darkening with adjustments from #9 through #13 shade lens
- #5 Shade cutting goggles
- Safety glasses
- Leather welding gloves - mid arm length
- Work boots - no shoes or sneakers
- Hat (cotton, no mesh)
- Heavy cotton or leather protective jacket
- Writing materials - pen, paper
Welding
The following items are required for the Welding course. These items are not included in the tuition price. An item with a star * indicates that the item is required for the first night of class.

- *Leather welding gloves - mid arm length, approximately 4-5 pair for entire course
- *Work boots - no shoes or sneakers
- *Hat (cotton, no mesh)
- *Leather or heavy cotton (Carhartt style) protective jacket
- *Welding Textbook and Core textbook
- *Writing materials - pen, pencil, paper
Health Careers Classes Scrub Requirements
- Sterile Processing – royal blue scrubs
- Phlebotomist Technician – gray scrubs
- Clinical Medical Assistant – gray scrubs
- EKG Technician – gray scrubs
- Nurse Assistant – royal blue scrubs
- Home Health Aide – royal blue scrubs
- Health Information Technician – no scrubs required
- Pharmacy Technician – no scrubs required

Oil Painting for Beginners
Oil paint tubes:
- 1 Titanium White
- 1 Cadmium Yellow Light
- 1 Cadmium Red
- 1 Alizarin Crimson
- 1 Ultramarine Blue
- 1 Viridian Green
(DO NOT get “water soluble” oil paint!)
Medium:
- Linseed oil or linseed stand oil
Hog Bristle Brushes:
- 1 Bright
- 1 Filbert
- 1 Flat
- 1 Round
- 1 Paint Palette, plexiglass or white plastic is fine
Surfaces:
- 2 small canvases, in the range of 11 x 14" and/or 16 x 20"
- 2 small 5 x 7 canvas boards. (more canvases may be acquired optionally, depending on individual need)
- one roll of thick, absorbent toilet paper
- Old rags that you do not plan on using for another purpose
- Two (2) palette knives: One trowel and one with a slanted tip. More types are fine to have if you choose to buy a set.
- A smock, or old clothing that you are okay with getting paint on. Oil paint is very permanent and very difficult to get out.
