The Academy at Arden Hill Middle School is a New York State Regents-track program that includes grades 6-8 with a classroom ratio of 6:1+1 as students work toward earning a traditional high school diploma and/or a Career Development and Occupational Studies Credential (CDOS).  Intense instructional support is provided in the small classroom setting as well as the additional support of an Alternative Learning Center.  The program also assists students in developing social-emotional skills, such as self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision making and relationship skills.

The Newcomer Program offers comprehensive services for students from Kindergarten through grade 12 who are new to the country. The program emphasizes the development of social skills, familiarization with school routines, and understanding of educational expectations within an authentic experiential setting. This approach is designed to prepare students for the continuation of their academic careers in their home school districts. In addition, we offer a Newcomer GED program for those students who are at least 16 years old and whose deficiency in high school credits makes them unlikely to achieve a high school diploma.

General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is available for special education students who are at least 16 years old and whose deficiency in high school credits makes them unlikely to achieve a high school diploma before turning 21. The program, which consists of two half-day sessions,  is focused on preparing students to take and pass the GED exam.

The Goshen Main Street program primarily serves secondary students who are working toward the Skills and Achievement Commencement Credential (SACC) instead of a traditional high school diploma. Working in classroom ratios of 9:1+3 and 8:1+1, these students receive academic and behavioral support while working toward employment skills, Activities of Daily Living, and participation in school-to-work programs that provide community-based work experiences.

These 6:1+1 classrooms offer a small learning environment that focuses on positive behavioral strategies. The program is designed to balance academic goals with behavioral needs that have prevented student success in prior settings.

The Middlehope Elementary Program mirrors the Liberty Elementary program and offers the same services to students in a standalone facility within the Marlboro School District. Providing instruction to students with behavioral, social and emotional needs, these 6:1+1 classrooms offer a small learning environment that focuses on positive behavioral strategies and is designed to balance academic goals with behavioral needs to students whose success in prior settings has been limited.

The Minisink Valley Middle School Satellite serves students in grades 6-8 in a  9:1+3 class ratio with student academic functioning ranging from first grade through a fifth grade level, and many presenting with splintered skills. Hosted in the Minisink Middle School, students in this program have a higher concentration of Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and functional life skills.

The Minisink High School Satellite serves high school students with cognitive deficits who are working toward earning a SACC in either 8:1+1 or 9:1+3 class ratios. The students enrolled in this program are all NYSAA students.  The students can generally function independent of additional classroom support and engage in Career and Technical Education programs when eligible, in some cases also earning a CDOS.

The Otisville Elementary Satellite program serves the needs of K-5 students who have been diagnosed Autistic or have other speech and language concerns in a 6:1+2 classroom ratio. Students in the Otisville Satellite program receive intensive speech therapy support along with occupational therapy and counseling.

The Pine Island Elementary Satellite program serves students with disabilities in Kindergarten through 6th grade in classrooms with ratios of 6:1+2 and 9:1+3. Academic and behavioral support is provided to students who are either state tested or alternately assessed and are responsive to behavioral support systems within the classroom and program-wide PBIS.

The Raymond C. Cramer program supports students ages 5-21 with varying degrees of cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities in either a 6:1+2 or 9:1+3 setting. Instructional spaces are designed to meet the unique needs of all students, including medically fragile students. Educators, nurses, and related service providers actively work with families to develop shared goals and plans that support student success. Secondary students enrolled in this program work toward earning a SACC exiting credential.

STRIVE (Structured Teaching Reinforced in a Visual Environment) is a highly-individualized, visually structured and supported language-based program serving the needs of children and young adults on the Autism Spectrum, ages 5-21 in 6:1+2 and 9:1+3 classrooms.  Serving the community for more than two decades, the main goals of the STRIVE program are to grow independence and flexibility, develop self-advocacy, and build social-emotional and employability skills to enable students to be productive and active members of the school community and beyond.  Secondary students enrolled in this program work toward earning a SACC exiting credential.
